You don’t have to be a member of the Beat Generation to appreciate Beatnik – a typeface inspired by the writings of Jack Kerouac. Alex has distilled the essence of the Beat’s unconventionality into a visual context. Beatnik’s angled serifs, varying x-height and edgy informality all contribute to its sense of extreme self-expression.

Beatnik is as versatile as it is expressive, serviceable in both text and display settings. With a complete set of true small capitals, old style figures and alternate letterforms, it can be used to overlay a Beat sensibility wherever desired.
